Owner & Designer
Maggie's background in horticulture started with her first nursery job in 2009. Since then, she has continued her passion for plants by working for multiple nurseries and landscaping companies. After her first run starting a gardening business in 2016, Maggie reopened and started Nashscapes. She wears many hats, including Designer, Operations and logistics, and Customer Service. Her favorite tasks in any job are consulting clients, sharing a vision, and seeing plans come to life.
Maggie is incredibly grateful Nashscapes has received so much support and has built a solid client base that continually rebooks and refers to their friends and neighbors. She has worked on many projects she is proud of and loves to share her passion for designing and planting gardens for pollinators.
When Maggie isn't working, she spends time with her pets or cooking. She adores her cat, Heisenberg, and her dogs, Sage and Poppy. Maggie's second passion is nutrition and fun meals. Her favorite food is a perfectly grilled steak. If there's time, she loves a good kayak or camping trip!
Maintenance Manager
Joining Nashscapes in 2023, Rashounda's role involves training techniques for our workers, overseeing work in the field, ensuring the quality of materials used, plant procurement, and assisting with keeping our clients happy.
Rashounda is a Nashville native who graduated from MTSU in 2020 with a BS in Plant and Soil Science. Her interest in landscaping started in early high school when she served on her local FFA chapter. During that time, she participated in horse judging, livestock judging, floriculture, and land surveying.
After college, she started getting field experience by working to remove exotic invasives in Middle Tennessee. Although her life may seem strictly environmental, she also enjoys doing many other things. Her current hobbies include interior design, social media browsing, spending time with family, shopping, hair health, and hanging out with her dog, Frankie.
Executive Assistant
Kari started working with Nashscapes in 2018 as a crew member and came back in 2022 as Maggie’s assistant. Along with assisting Maggie she now manages scheduling, customer service, accounting, billing, HR, hiring and various tasks out in the field.
Kari is a Midwest native and lived in Chicago before moving to Nashville in 2018. She graduated from ISU with a BS in Arts Technology & Photography in 2005. A self-proclaimed Jane of all trades, she has previously worked in a variety of fields, including metalsmithing, sewing, graphic design, animation, ticket sales and sales management.
Some of her interests include gardening, herbalism, nutrition, cooking, trade skills, homesteading, music, animal care, and gaming. Ideally, she spends her free time on house projects, outdoor adventures, going to shows or events, spending time with friends, traveling or chillin’ with her cat, Terry, aka Elvis Purrsley.
This year, she is taking part in the Tennessee Naturalist program to get certification as a citizen scientist and volunteer towards the conservation of Tennessee’s natural resources.
